TUNING & BRAKES
Engine tuning is an adjustment.
Alteration of the internal combustion engine or adjustment to its control unit, which is carried out to produce the optimal performance, to increase an engine's power output, economy, and longevity.
There are many parts subject to wear inside a brake system. Brake pads and brake discs are the most common areas for replacement. Once they wear down to a significant extent, the next system components to suffer damage are rotors and drums.
If brake pads and discs are not replaced in a timely manner, you may end up with expensive repairs.
When a car is designed, the manufacturer sets out a service schedule for the car, which they believe will keep it running reliably and safely.
A service will be slightly different for each car, depending on the engine, transmission, age and mileage.
In order that the original manufacturer warranty is not invalidated, this service schedule must be adhered to, while the car is under warranty.
WHEELS & SUSPENSION
The suspension endures alot of movement and force, parts inevitably wear out or become damaged. Driving over potholes, curbs and large bumps can damage the suspension so that towers holding the springs in place can bend or break.
Squeaking noises usually accompany problems with the suspension.
Problems with the suspension should be addressed immediately, so if the handling or shock absorption in a vehicle changes it should be inspected as soon as possible.
Tyres need to meet legal requrements* including tread depth, suitability for the vehicle, pressure and free from defects.
Tracking is important as incorrect alignment can result in rapid irregular tyre wear and can even affect the handling and safety of the vehicle.
If you look after your car properly, you are much less likely to be struck by unexpected and substantial repair bills in the future.
Getting your car serviced annually and keeping it maintained between services is money well spent. Problems are likely to be caught early on when they’re cheaper to fix, your car will have longer life and a better resale value with a good service record.
A well maintained car is more efficient car, which means you will also save money on fuel.
If you need to claim on a warranty you’ll normally have to show that you’ve got a complete service record.
